Our bodies need all kinds of vitamins and minerals, and you’ve probably heard some talk of B vitamins thrown around in every day life. But what are they, and why might you want to get them via injection or an IV?
What are Vitamin B’s?
These little power house vitamins are needed for our body’s optimal health, and we don’t naturally produce it in our bodies. This means we need to supplement our bodies through diet, and added vitamins (injections, over the counter tablets etc). There are 8 water soluble B vitamins. This means you don’t store them in your body and need more each day. How do they escape? Down your waterslide! (AKA your urinary system)
These B vitamins are involved in making DNA and RNA, making neurotransmitters, and so much more! Basically, B vitamins are needed in our cells to have us function at our most optimal.
You can get the B vitamins from eating meat, dairy, leafy greens and some nuts and seeds. For those picky eaters out there, supplementation is a great option to ensure your body is working at it’s most optimal.
Am I getting enough?
It can be hard to tell if you’re getting enough vitamin B in your diet, especially if you are vegetarian. Here are some symptoms of vitamin b deficiency: irritability, brain fog, fatigue, headaches, depression, memory loss, and more. You may be at greater risk for deficiency if your absorption in your gut struggles from conditions like Chron’s Disease or Ulcerative Colitis.
Those symptoms are pretty serious and could be caused by something other than a vitamin deficiency, so be sure to speak with your Doctor about symptoms you may have.

What is different between B12 and B Complex?
We offer both B12 and B Complex here at the center, so let’s talk about the differences. B12 is the single B12 vitamin, whereas a B complex has all 8 of the B vitamins. So why would you want one and not the other?
B12: is great for targeted deficiencies, in people who are vegetarians or over 60, or have neurological issues like tingling. It’s a super boost to what your body naturally needs to create and maintain healthy red blood cells, and nerve function. This vitamin is still water soluble, but can be stored in the liver for up to one year. If you’re struggling with brain fog and fatigue, this would be an excellent choice.
B Complex: This is a combination of all 8 vitamins, and supports your body’s brain and nerve function as well as energy. If you’re feeling tired and need an energy boost, the B Complex is the one to choose. This gives you a more broad, lower dose blend of all 8.
Why we are different:
Most of our IV drips have Vitamin B complex, and you can also have B12 added. You can get these vitamins once a week here at our center. Our patients report feeling boosts of energy, better sleep, and improved brain function. Our dedicated nursing team can share with you their recommendation based on your symptoms and if they recommend the injection or in an IV. We also have a Vitamin B12 special on Fridays. Injections are only $15!
We do offer all three forms of Vitamin B12 so that you can get the one that works the best for you! Cyanocobalamin, Methylcobalamin and Hydroxocobalamin
If you’re wanting to feel better and dip your toe into IV hydration and wellness injections, the B Vitamins are the place to start. Give us a call 928-892-2331 or BOOK NOW
